MLD - Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle massage technique that is used to stimulate the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of vessels that carry lymph fluid throughout the body. Lymph fluid is a clear, colourless fluid that contains white blood cells, which help to fight infection.

MLD is often used to treat lymphoedema, which is a condition that causes swelling in the arms, legs, or other parts of the body. Lymphoedema can be caused by cancer treatment, surgery, or other medical conditions.

It is also recommended to have a course of MLD after plastic surgery, such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) or breast lifts. Also after liposuction for lipoedema and or plastic surgery.

It is a safe and effective treatment for many conditions including Lipoedema. It is important to note that MLD should not be used if you have an infection or open wounds.

I am a trained MLD specialist who will use my hands to apply gentle, rhythmic pressure to the skin. The pressure is applied in a specific pattern that helps to stimulate the lymphatic system and move the lymphatic fluid.

Treatments may be repeated, depending on the condition being treated.
